Our rustic Cedar Log A-Frame is a great way to convert a porch swing into a yard swing. This A-frame is designed to accommodate a 5′ porch swing. (NOT INCLUDED).
Being crafted from naturally rot resistant Northern White Cedar logs, this rustic log a-frame will last between 10 and 20 years.

Really great swing frame, with a really great price. I went from a fancy wooden arch that costs like $700, to this, which was well under $200. I get a rustic sort of look, and something that will hold up for many years and weather a nice gray. I was able to build this easily by myself – though I’m 6’4″ and in reasonable shape. I think anyone of average height and normal strength could build this. The instructions were great. The stand is level and very solid.Support was EXCELLENT – very friendly and helpful. They really understand the meaning of “customer satisfaction”. So nice to see that some companies are starting to understand how that affects their future sales. Overall, the experience was very smooth and satisfying. Fast shipping, easy assembly, quality product, excellent support.

Two of the logs were split from end to end, but my sons said it wouldn’t hurt anything. I bought it for a baby swing and the screws went completely through, so i think it’s safe.

This cedar frame is great! It arrived very timely. Packaged in one box. My husband put it together in about half hour. I had seen other reviews talking about the wood being split, mine was not. After assembly, I put a clear coat on it because it will sit outside by the river year round and do not want it to get weathered too quickly. My only con is that the top predrilled holes are set wide for a 6 ft swing & mine is a 4 ft so I really need to move those holes in closer. ( not an actual con I just did not read this in the description). I highly recommend this swing frame. Very heavy weight and do not worry the winds will blow it over.

Easy to assemble. Beautiful wood. Bad things….I haven’t had it too terribly long and most the time it has been without a swing or use (because our swing broke and I haven’t gotten another). Anyways it’s very wobbly already and the wood is no longer pretty despite me sealing it a few times since I got it. And it is cracking in several places. I guess I expected it to last longer since it was described as good wood and was so pricey. I will likely choose a different kind in the future.

I had the swing, I needed the frame. My son-in-law put it together in about 4 hours. Add more time if you are tightening all the bolts by hand.Stands about 6 ft tall when completed.About cracking..most of my pieces had little to no cracking.All the components were very well drilled

Very solid. Put some wood glue in the deepest crack because it was facing up where rain may get in it (just to be safe), put three coats of marine varnish on it, put my daughter’s web swing on it and took it outside. With the varnish it should last years and years.

Helps if you have an second person and you need some strength to assemble, especially when you tighten everything. We had it up in about an hour.It does have some cracks but the manufacturer has a note in the box describing that they are part of it and not damage. Regarding the cracks, I’ve looked them over closely and the way you connect the parts to one another, it wouldn’t even matter if the cracks were a structural risk — the way you connect one part is perpendicular to the adjoining piece so that both secure one another, crack or no crack.It’s really sturdy and doesn’t need anchoring. It doesn’t jump when we swing, but we did manage to make it jump/lift a foot once with an exuberant grown man. Our 50lb kid hasn’t managed to budge it though. I think 2-3 kids wouldn’t faze it.We’ve put a saucer swing on it and it swings smoothly and is a kid magnet. We hung the swing on the frame’s included hooks. (Got the saucer swing on Amazon too, in case you’re wondering. It’s a really highly rated one and fit this frame perfectly.)I’ve included a picture of the hook because the product pictures didn’t make it clear to me what to expect there. (The clip is part of the saucer swing, not the frame, but you can see how it connects perfectly.)The cedar smells very nice, but if you have small children who might grab on to the wood, you should know it isn’t smooth sanded. It’s fairly rough (like decking) and kids could definitely get splinters. It would be beautiful if one were inspired to sand and stain it.

I ordered the A-frame and swing separately, and assisted my experienced-builder spouse in assembly. It is a 2-person task; man is it heavy! There are 2 leftover6 1/4 in.x5in. hex washer head screws. They are definitely duplicates. Minor head-scratching & double-checking, we are certain the assembled swing is all correct. Some wood-into-wood looseness on the swing’s arms was addressed with wood glue and screws drilled in to secure the arm piece. We are pleased overall. Looks good!

Rock solid swing frame, with easy directions. My only two grumbles: two bolts required a larger socket wrench than I had in my tool box, and it took me an hour to find a neighbor who had one that I could borrow; also, it definitely requires two people to assemble the piece. Assembly time, with two people and the right tools, is less than 60 minutes.

Really like the swing frame. Very sturdy. Subtracted one star for ‘ease of assembly’. My carpenter son helped me out. I would have had a little problem putting the frame together by myself as handling the some of the pieces were a bit awkward to handle alone. The assembled frame has a nice look. Happy that it is USA made. Delivery was on time. Would recommend this product.

I had no trouble putting this baby together. I would recommend giving it a coat of wood sealer before assembling it, so all the joints are well-protected. It seems very sturdy. it’s made to hang a 5 foot swing, but mine is 4 feet, so I drilled extra holes to accomodate the size difference, so the chains hung straight down. It’s made of cedar wood, so I expect it to last a long time. I recommend it. Also, it looks good.

During a recent windstorm, my 25 year old frame and swing flipped and broke a leg. Keep in mind that these swings stay out in the environment all of the time and it lasted 25 years! I live in Northern New York on the Canadian border so the environment is harsh! I am a 68 year old woman and put this together by myself, but use two people if you can. The directions are easy to understand and putting it together is easy, if you brace it against a wall. I got the larger frame (5 foot) and had to redrill the top for my 4 foot swing…easy fix. I will stain it to match my swing and plan to enjoy it for as long as I’m on this earth…and maybe after!

We bought this frame for our son’s round platform swing. We had to cinch up the swing ropes all the way to keep it from dragging the ground. He is not able to make the swing go very high or fast and can’t get the desired sensory effect that he needs. This frame is more suitable for a porch swing. I don’t recommend it for a kids swing.

Good quality, easy setup. I took a day to stain this with deck preservative before I built it and set it in place. Good instructions, predrilled holes all went together with no fiddling. Looks good in my back yard, kids and grownups enjoy it.

In the specifications it states it is almost 7ft tall. The photo shows it with a swing just like the one I have, but it’s too short and I will have to modify the swing to make it work

I am an old guy, what I would call myself handy with tools, but no carpenter. I assembled this baby on my own. It stands sturdy. I am concerned about the large wells cut in the top beam to accommodate the large eye bolts. It is perfect for snow and then ice to accumulate, expand and do damage. I wish plastic plugs had been provided for these, but doing without I will try an improvise something to serve the same purpose. The hardware pieces were all there, good quality and instructions were simple enough to follow. I will be sealing this Mount with Thompson’s Crimson Deck Sealer and anticipate it outliving me.
