What could have been an easy assembly is made annoyingly difficult because of poor instructions and the failure to identify the left and right legs. A simple “L” and “R” stamped on the bottom of the appropriate leg would have cut the assembly time in half. Instead, you’re given poorly illustrated diagrams which leave you with no option other than trial and error putting the sides together. I finally gave up following the instructions and used my intuition, things got better from then on. Aside from that, the chair is well made, sturdy and very comfortable.

This is quite beautiful and comfortable to sit on. However, the wood used is not cured fully and have lots of cracks, almost in every piece and the finish is not the best (lots of sharp areas that need sanding). If you are handy and can commit to spending a good few hours to sand some parts, fill some spots and seal and paint, then this could be a nice project for you. Assembling is easy – I used an impact driver, a rubber mallet, hex wrench and drill bit. Yes, made in USA but the quality overall is not any different than those made in China.

Bought as a set with table and lounge chair and 2nd chair. If you are not willing to do some sanding and re-positioning of slats and some re drilling, then this outdoor furniture is not for you. Quality control is poor. We had to do a lot of “tweeking” and sanding to make it look good and get rid of splinter hazards. Two slats were split, we fixed one and ordered a new one. They get 3 stars because customer service is excellent.
