Description
The Country Garden Porch Swing is a beautiful 5’ swing that will enhance any yard, porch or patio. Imaging yourself drinking lemonade on a nice summer evening swinging away in your wooden patio swing. It’s made of durable materials and its durability is due in part to the Northern White Cedar logs that are naturally insect and rot resistant. The heavy duty hardware used is coated to protect it from the elements. This swing will last for years, on average, between 10-20 years. Cheap, imported imitations cannot compare to the quality that goes into our swings. Other swings, made from Chinese Fir, are not rot and insect resistant, and may only last 1-3 years before having to replace it. Not only that, with imported Chinese Fir, you run the risk of releasing harmful bugs and larva into our own ecosystem.

This large swing is super sturdy and easy to assemble. It is supportive on the ends, so that I can sit lengthwise and rest my laptop on my legs and do my work outside in the shade of the tree I put it under. Its well worth the expense and the shipping to receive this!

Solid wood great fasteners you need glue and tools. I am very handy so I had it together in about an hour. I put it at or cabin in Colorado and I plan on doing the matching end tables next year

Swing delivered quickly less than a week. Needs some assembly and the assembly instructions could be better. None of the toe-nail holes are pre-drilled. And the chair tilt locating screws are not pre-drilled. This and the eeehhh instructions caused for some head scratching and a 3 hour build time by me and the son “bull moose”- ya he’s a big dude. Anyway, after assembly both Me and Bull sat on it and it didn’t collapse, whoa that’s a strong swing. Great smell of cedar wood, it is unfinished. Very nice swing. Worth the cash. Looks just like the picture. What you see is what you get. After we put some miles on it I will come back and adjust the rating.

This is a sturdy swing that will make for happy relaxing in the shade.You will need to do a bit of wood work in assembly however. All the tenons needed to be sanded to fit their mortises (I suspect dull cutters). Do follow the sequence of events in the very clear instructions.There is some evidence of hurried/sloppy assembly on the seat – some of the nicely curved seat slats were unnecessarily overlapped (crowded) which creates a lumpy seat.I saturated all the parts with boiled linseed oil before assembly and it looks great.I certainly do recommended the swing!

Sturdy, comfortable and looks great down the end of our point on the lake. One questions, I want to raise it higher and the directions say to just bring the legs closer together. But that has the legs, braced against the top rail, sticking out away from it. No longer a flush fit. Is this the way it is supposed to be? Doesn’t that impact the stability of the swing?

The positive reviews sealed the deal, and it’s turned out to be every bit as good as it looked in the pictures. This is nothing like the light-weight, flimsy little porch swing that fell apart within a couple of years like the one we bought at a major hardware chain store many years ago. Assembly was almost Tinkertoy easy — just a few screws and bolts and, voila, we have a really great swing in our pergola that holds two adults, plus coffee mugs and reading material with ease. Would unhesitatingly recommend this to anyone in the market for this genre of porch swing.

Did not receive the hardware to attach swing to chain. I have sent a note to the vendor. No instructions were included; we got it together but a few little hints would have been great. It’s a beautiful swing and I am sure we will enjoy it once we can get it hung.

Nice, sturdy swing. Needs a little sanding and I chose to stain mine instead of let it turn grey. Construction was very study wood joints or lag bolts with one exception… where the hanging support beams (attached to the chain) attach to the swing they decided to use standard, albeit long, wood screws. I would have liked to have seen some beefy lag bolts since the entire weight of the swing is ultimately held by these 4 screws

I could not be happier with this swing. The material is solid and the workmanship rugged, but beautiful! And for less than $200 I couldn’t beat the price even locally! The only thing that gave me a little bit of concern was some cracking in the longer pieces. But as this didn’t seem to affect it much structurally, or detract from the looks, I’m OK with it. I do plan on staining it as I’m not a huge fan of the blonde look.

Holes were not placed properly so we had to drill new holes the pieces for the seat are all crooked and it doesn’t stain very pretty. Kinda just looks like cheap wood. For the price I would have expected better.

Loved this swing so much, I subsequently bought matching loveseat, 2 chairs and 3 end tables for my deck. Assembly was challenging due to my disabilities until I replaced the Phillips head screws with Torx-drive decking screws, so I could use the drill one-handed. Excellent!

I love this Porch Swing! Design is very different from other swings that I looked at. Assembly wasn’t bad at all. Very sturdy construction and the post on the side, does not swing side to side (No worries of it hitting my windows). I would definitely recommend this product and as soon as I am able, Plan on purchasing another just like it for the other end of my front porch. Sits very comfortable.

Four stars rather than five because one rail end split during assembly. Very minor issue.We stained the parts prior to assembly and glued the rail ends in the sockets in addition to screwing them together.This swing is nicer than our old one.

We just completed assembly of our swing, and love it: comfortable and sturdy. We chose cedar due to the rot and insect resistance and the wood is very smooth right out of the box, no sanding required. During installation, we noted a problem with the pre-drilled holes. A quick call and email to Customer Service and a new piece was delivered within 48 hours. Assembly is easier with 2 people.

This furniture is the best! I bought a swing and 4 adirondack chairs 12 years ago and have left them out year round in the new england weather ever since. this year we finally had to replace the swing and 1 chair from rot. Was assembling the parts together and found one of the parts were a duplicate of the opposite side which wouldn’t work. Called the manufacturer, sent a picture and they sent out the correct piece. Fixed problem and working as advertised.
