Assembling the chair wasn’t difficult, but when I was done they (I bought two of them) were uneven and wobbled all over the place until you sat down in them. Even then they were a little unsteady. I wouldn’t but them again…not worth the money.

Love this chair. Hubby had an old, similar chair like this but over the years, out in our wet weather, it has started to fall apart. This is a good replacement and may pick up another for me…Sturdy and very rustic looking. Son put it together so most should be able to do so also.

I would give these much higher than 5 stars if I could. I bought 6 for my campsite; they are beautiful around my fire pit. They were super easy to put together took me about 20 minutes each by myself with no power tools… they are the natural rustic look with the cracks in the wood and all… They are super comfortable; not leaned back like the Adirondack chairs are… They are so beautiful I am ordering a few more for my deck. I got the square tables too… just as easy to put together and looks great. Their size is perfect for between 2 of these chairs… I just love them all and could not be happier.

I’ve had 4 of these chairs for 3-4 years now. Amazing chairs in general.Comfortable – great to sit out by the fire on these very comfortable chairs.Durable – I leave them outside year round and they hold up like nothing else. They get a bit weathered but that may even improve the appearance.

I purchased four of these and stained them with Penofin Dark Walnut oil finish. They came out beautifully.Assembly was easy using a small impact driver and rubber mallet and the chairs are very sturdy and comfortable.Some reviews say they stained before assembling. I did that with the first chair and ended up assembling the others and staining after. There are enough individual logs where I found it was tough to find space to let them all dry. It also seemed to take longer because I was juggling different pieces.

I purchased 4 of these chairs.The good news: Solid chairs, straight-forward assembly (you will want a drill to drive the screws), all the hardware kits were complete. The parts fit together well and the chair sits squarely on a flat surface.The bad news: the parts were very poorly sanded. I fully expected a rustic outdoor chair, but on the seating surface and arm rests there were dozens of “toothpick sized” splinters. They pierced my Carhartts; there is no way you would want to sit on the ones I received with shorts or with a swimsuit. Not a huge deal to me, but you should plan on 30 minutes of sanding on each of them prior to assembly. (I only sanded the arms and the upper side of the seat and forward side of the back, and left all the legs and untouched areas rough.) Several of the pre-assembled slats had the screws stripped and remaining proud of the surface (I had to remove them, fill the hole, and reinsert to get them countersunk). In the photo you will see a miscut leg length. No big deal to me, but suggests a rather sloppy process.I did call customer service at Lakeland Mills. They said they had some new employees and perhaps they weren’t aware of the requirement to sand the chairs… They said that the purchaser should NOT need to sand them. However, one of the chairs had the same rough bandsaw marks on both the underside and upper seating side of the seat slats. Clearly a mistake; it hadn’t been sanded at all at the factory. Lakeland advertises their pride of manufacturing, but they buggered it up on these.I’m a woodworker and own power sanders so it was worked okay for me. But I think some people would hate them after ruining some clothes or getting splinters in their arms or more tender areas.

In the last 10 years or so I have purchased and used 12 of these chairs and found them to be comfortable, beautiful and durable. Our chairs sit outside in the Arizona sun all year and have not deteriorated in 6 years. Our chairs up north (Wisconsin) come in in the winter but are outside in the rain, sun etc, in summer. Wonderful. We chose these chairs and tables partly because they are very heavy and do not blow around in the strong winds we have at both our homes. Very happy customer.

Got 4 chairs and will order 2 more. They look great and are comfortable. Putting them together is a bit tricky and you will need a power drill for the screws, I can’t imagine doing it any other way.

We purchased 30 of these for our log club house/ lodge along with 20+ other pieces from Lakeland Mills. They went together very easily with ZERO problems. We finished them with a sprayed coat of urethane and they are beautiful, the natural grain just popped out. Very comfortable and great chairs. We purchased two of these chairs and love them. We got them for our covered patio at our mountain cabin and they look perfect with the surroundings. We plan to let them weather naturally. The only down side was the assembling. It wasn’t really difficult, except we had to drill new holes for the rear support bolts. Try as we may, we could not make the drill holes match up.

Overall these chairs are great, sturdy, comfortable and well made. My wife bought two chairs for us and unfortunately one of the arms feels like it had zero sanding done on it. There is a large rough spot with a bunch of gouges right where you rest your arm. It will take a lot of sanding and hopefully not look odd afterwards.

Exactly as pictured and described. Very sturdy, comfortable & attractive. We are using them (2) in our backyard with a fire pit. Not too bad to put together but couldn’t really see the youtube video as to where to place the screws so we winged it. In that regard we didn’t do a very good job because some of the screws are not flush to the wood.

This is the second item I’ve purchased from Cedar Mills. The quality is great. This picture is actually incorrect. I purchased the rocker. I now have a loveseat rocker and a single rocker. Both easy to assemble and are great quality. I plan on purchasing more items in the future

Sturdy, easy to put together. We got 4 of them and put 2 together and enjoyed them before putting together the other 2. Be sure you have a socket wrench and a a power screwdriver.

Kind of funny to read morons reviews mentioning “cracks”. This is totally normal, have over 20 of these chairs and have left them outside for years(most are over 20 years old) and the cracks are still there. It’s CEDAR! It cracks as it dries. People are so stupid. Read one review where it took the guy 2 hours to assemble. II have assembled 4 in an hour, using a medium weight rubber mallet, cordless screw gun, block of wood, 3/8″ ratchet w/socket. Easy peasy.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this chair four years ago and it has been on my front porch every day since. Through harsh summers and winters without any shelter this chair has held up very very well. Love it and would highly recommend it. Great materials, love the low angle and the curved seat and the rustic look. It’s very comfortable. It is also made here in Michigan from Michigan cedar logs. That appealed to me personally and I have not been disappointed one bit. It was easy to put together and I think will last a lifetime. I did not stain it or polycoat it. I left it all natural. It has weathered to the driftwood grey I expected it to. I added a cushion but it isn’t needed for comfort. (The video is of a raccoon family that took it hostage one day).

Got these for my mother she really liked them. One issue was one of the holes didn’t line up and we had to drill another that did. That was it though. They look good once stained. Stain before putting together.

I ordered two of these, and I really like them, the only drawback is that you will have to use some sandpaper on some of the surfaces to stop the splinters. I especially like the curved seat and they give a lot of support so great for back pain sufferers. Assembling them requires a power screwdriver (I used an impact driver) and a little patience. Once you do one of them the are all the same. I bought these and the 4′ loveseat and an end table. All are good quality and very sturdy! They do sit low though, so it might be an issue with some buyers.
