I bought four and two end tables last summer. Either we are getting more popular or these are getting more comfortable because I’ve noticed more people dropping in. And a bathroom or hamburger run? Forget it. Your chair is taken when you get back. So two more in the cart, two more on the front step. One already built. These are extremely durable. They were outside all winter and do look a little faded now, like any unfinished wood product would. But my impression is we have many more years more of life out of these (based on one full summer and one full winter outside)Last weekend someone commented on how comfie the seat was. It is contoured, as is the back, and I’ve sat for hours without getting that bench-bum pain. No cushions and they still work.Putting together can be a slight bear. After the first they go much quicker. I’d recommend doing it on a very flat hard surface so they get built level. We use these on pavers and had I not built them and made them level I’d always be wondering. But it’s the surface, not the chair. When built right they are rock solid. You will need a wooden or rubber mallet. But don’t bang away until you are sure you have it aligned properly. And I will complain that screwing in the reinforcement screws was cumbersome. Possibly the hardest part. (Use a drill, not a screwdriver). But they are the reason these are so solid. Nothing moves after it is built. All in all, an excellent purchase. All six of them. But don’t get extras unless you enjoy company on the weekends.

Along with an end Table we bought a set of these Lounge Chairs. Extremely comfortable. Added plus is the curved front edge which greatly reduces leg cramping. We added a cushion to increase comfort but I honestly think you could get away with nothing added. Love the design and ease of assembly. Note: Pay extra attention when “setting” each piece together. Double check that each attachment point is set firmly into it’s mate. If the alignment is off these chairs will not sit plumb and be slightly off center. I added a glue to each attachment point to increase stability and longevity.

I purchased 4 of these chairs and the last one really gave me a fit trying to assemble it. For some reason, I could not get the last chair legs to sit flat on the ground. I undid all the screws twice and tweaked how far the each piece needed to go in there respective holes. I finally got it right by having someone sit in the chair as I drove in the screws. The chair had another problem in which I tore the head of the 5/16″ bolt trying to tighten it. That was my fault and got a replacement bolt from a hardware store. I also did a lot of hand sanding trying to clean up the wood so no one would get splinters from them. I had some problems but I am happy with the chairs.

These are awesome. We got 6 chairs total.Stained the chairs in walnut stain. They were super easy to assemble (about 20 min each). So far they have been trough two really hot summers, lots and lots of rain, one heavy storm and one really cold winter.Yes, there are cracks in the wood, but it does not affect the sturdiness of the chairs. They look like they will last a long time and quite possible be handed down to our children’s children ;)

Very pleased with these chairs. Agreed with others when putting together have someone sit in them when tightening the hardware so it levels the chairs. I also sanded all the pieces before putting together. Fairly easy to assemble. Fits tall men as well.

The seat boards were uneven and required some rework. I sanded it all with a mouse sander after assembly and gave it a coat of spar varnish. It went in a spare bedroom to compliment other rustic furniture. It looks good and is comfortable.

We have a new patio in the front of our house so we wanted something decent looking for outdoor furniture. For us, this is it. Great looking and also very comfortable. There are no negatives for me but if you are not interested in working through some hands on assembly then you might be a little disappointed with the part of early ownership. As others have mentioned, you will want to use a power screw driver. I can’t imagine how long it would have taken to do this without a power tool. There was a little sweat on the brow even with a power tool. (Maybe I’m a wimp.) I plan to get two more chairs and another end table. Good stuff!!

I Love Our Lakeland Mills Cedar Log Lounge Chair! I ordered one in April 2020 to try it out so that I could get 3 more for around the firepit my husband and boys built. The lounge chair is beautiful! I also appreciated the book!It took a little while to assemble but we figured it out. At the time I was not able to afford the other 3 chairs… When I could get the other chairs this item has been unavailable for purchase :-(I hope it will be available again soon so that I can complete the amazing set! Thank you Lakeland Mills!!

My order arrived quickly and in excellent shape. Assembly was quick and easy and everything aligned as expected. Assembly really took little effort. The chairs are perfectly sized and the rustic look is perfect for any garden. All in all the whole process related to selection, ordering, and assembling was a breeze. These chairs are replacing similar products that have been in our back yard for nearly 30 years. This was a good experience and I would not hesitate to order Lakeland Mills products.

Great idea but there are a couple of problems. Lakeland should spend a little more time drying the wood. Two days in the Ga sun and mine are really cracked….I don’t mean little cracks…I mean the small acceptable cracks that were already there turned into huge gaping cracks. That only means one thing…uncured wood. And one of the holes on the armrest where the leg goes was at least 1/2″ off which made the whole chair sit crazy crooked. It didn’t affect me all that much because it’s sitting on a gravel base, but would never work on a hard surface.

Read the previous reviews and got this chair. I sanded the pieces and used a power screw driver as advised and with a little adjusting here and there came up with an amazingly comfortable, rustic, cool chair. We stained it & my hard to please husband declared it a winner & excellent quality. I would highly recommend this chair & know you’ll enjoy it as much as we do. Want the wee side table next…

Really like these chairs. Bought one to check it out and then purchased another five. Haven’t put the other five together yet, but the one is good. I like it a lot. It’s comfortable, easy to put together and seems sturdy. There are some imperfections (cracks) in the wood (see pic), but as long as you use good protectant you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. These are a good buy.

We purchased 4 of the chairs for our fire pit area. The kits arrived quickly and in good condition. We were able to assemble them rather easily – having a power drill/screwdriver and rubber mallet makes the job easier. We plan to use an oil stain on the chairs. After shopping and comparing all summer we are incredibly pleased with the quality and look of these chairs.

My wife and I recently had our front yard completely overhauled and that included adding a paver patio. This required new furniture and we looked high and low, far & wide for attractive, durable and affordable outdoor furniture. Those things typically mean overpaying. Not with Lakeland Mills. The furniture is well made, easy to assemble and good looking! The cracks are natural folks. They’re not defects and they won’t weaken the furniture. To date I’ve purchased 1 round table, 2 end tables, 4 chairs and 1 love seat…and something tells me we won’t stop there.Really appreciate this stuff and the price cannot be beat for the durability of these pieces. If you undersand what you’re buying, you’ll understand what I’m saying. Enjoy!

Excellent product. We ordered two chairs which arrived well packaged and within 5 days. Stained with Armstrong Clark semi-transparent Cedar (one coat). The instructions recommend not staining the dowel ends due to swelling but we live in a cedar log home that is stained with AC products and have found it to be an excellent product. I stained the dowels and had no issues with assembling the ends into the predrilled holes. Let the stain dry for 24 hours. Assembly took about 30 minutes per chair with the recommended tools. These chairs are sturdy and sound. They will have to withstand the scorching California heat and brutal Sierra Nevada winters. I am confident that they will do very well. We will be buying more to finish off our outdoor furnishings.

Easily put together if you are handy and heavy enough to withstand a storm. The wood is completely untreated so I will be using the same sealer as for my deck on it to ensure that it stays as pretty as it is and doesn’t turn grey. It gives the porch a cozy and comfy feel and was well worth the money.

These chairs are wonderful! They are exactly what I wanted. Comfortable, easy enough to assemble and beautiful. We have 6 of them as our living room furniture. As we assembled them, one was not sitting quite right and wobbling, but it was our fault for not following the directions, lol. We loosened screws and fixed it, now they are all sturdy as can be! Wonderful craftsmanship! There are natural splits in the wood that are not actually cracks and do not affect integrity of furniture. I am 100% satisfied with shipping, packaging, assembly ease and final product!

After a year and a half, I can say that these chairs are beautiful and solid. A real quality product. The initial assembly was a bit challenging, as some of the holes were not aligned correctly, but once assemble and put to use, they have “settled” without rocking or being wobbly. I plan to buy a few more next season. We use them around our campfire.

I bought 4 of these chairs for my outdoor fire pit on pavers. We have an outdoor kitchen and just added a new fire pit area 18 by 20 and these chairs finish it off just right. I read the reviews before buying them and was a little concerned there were some negatives. The positives way out numbered the negative so we went ahead and bought them. I used to be a fine finish carpenter and have worked with a lot of cedar being from Maine. That said the quality of this wood from Lakeland Mills is fantastic and the fit is real nice. The contrasting color in all the logs will look grand after we apply our planned clear satin finish. I was concerned about a couple of reviews that complained about one leg longer than others and it not sitting flat, well my first one came out that way. The easy fix was to put a 1″ board under one of the legs that is longer and then push down on the short legs to just tweak it a bit and remove 1′ board and it sits perfect!!I’m very fussy so before I assembled them I used my satin finish on all the ends and socket and even the angle braces on the bottom, so once assembled this acted also like a little glue, but the main reason is it will add to the longevity of the chairs as we all know the ends and pockets absorb more water than the sides and you can’t get at them after assembled. My wife is short 4′ 10″ and and i am 5′ 8″ and we both feel that they are very comfortable. We looked at and tried out a lot of Adirondack chairs and find these to be more comfortable and much better built. We are looking forward to them serving us for many years. Cracks give it character.

This Rustic cedar log chair was fairly easy to assemble. I did not have any problems following the directions. I did have problems with the preassembled chair bottom and back. I wanted to apply a stain and UV sealer to protect the chair so I disassembled the chair bottom and backs to stain each piece. It was difficult to remove the screws as 90% of them were driven into the product too far and the screws stripped out the wood so the screws did not back out easily. I had to repair the screw holes prior to reassembly. There were also extra holes in the wood log as if it was assembled incorrectly then reassembled prior to shipping. I would have preferred receiving a completely unassembled kit. one of the chair seat boards had a significant split that I needed to glue and clamp overnight prior to staining. Overall, the price was reasonable but the quality control was not up to my standards

I bought two chairs, a rocker, a love seat and the bench seat with table between. Average time for me to assemble each one was about 10 minutes, and the time shortened as I got the hang of them. Excellent directions, perfectly fitted parts, beautiful result. They had arrived just before a flood of relatives and changed by patio life forever. I expect they will outlive me, and probably age more gracefully than I will.

Surprisingly comfortable chair! FAIRLY easy to assemble; HOWEVER, make sure you have a power drill handy! Although the screws are “wood biting” screws, they are DIFFICULT to completely secure with just a hand screw driver (the screw holes are NOT pre-drilled for the MAJORITY of the “tenons-to-element (e.g. arm, leg, etc…)”. Assembly IS pretty easy… A YouTube video to see how easy these products are to construct (although not for this EXACT chair) can be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Pu3orIgkco.I ***WOULD*** recommend this product to family and friends.

More comfortable than Adirondack chairs. Very sturdy but portable without a lot of effort. Bought two and they’re just what we wanted. We did end up having to use a power drill for screwing the members into the dowels. No big deal, but the instructions didn’t include that tidbit. Highly recommend these USA made chairs.

Once figured out, these are very easy to put together. The back and seat come pre-assembled, so you don’t have to screw on all of those slats. You just fit the back into the seat using the huge pegs/hols built in. Then you assemble each side of legs, tap them in to the chair/back assembly, then drive screws where they tell you to in the instructions. There aren’t pilot holes, so you just have to see where the pegs go into holes and secure by driving screws. Some have said they drilled pilot holes, but I didn’t find that necessary at all. I used a decent cordless drill/driver and the screws went in very easily. Really, don’t get all worked up by splits in the wood, they really do belong, it’s rustic! I finished them with Thompson’s water seal with the natural cedar tint and they look great. I haven’t really sat in them yet, just tried it out real quick after building and before staining. They are shaped very comfortably. I have my two out by a new fire pit and they are the perfect complement.

I bough these exact chairs over 40 years ago and they still exist believe it or not, but they’re really on their last legs…literally, so I bought two more for not much more than I paid 40 years ago. Love these chairs. Easy to assemble, but I am a builder so…I think they’d be easy for anyone to assemble being theres not that many parts, and the instructions are pretty clear.

These are great chairs for the price. My husband put them together without difficulty. We stained them and are using them around our fire pit. They are quite sturdy and comfortable. We own a few other cedar pieces so we expected the normal cracks and splits in the wood….adds character, but does not affect the quality or function.

I fall in love with it all over again. It is sheer comfort, solid yet soothing. You can look up at the sky or straight ahead. turn left or right, no strain. It is blissful. No pillow is needed to improve that peaceful grace. And at 51″, I was concerned that my feet would be dangling in the air since so many chairs seem to be made for the six-footers. Not a problem. It is truly baffling how each of these furniture pieces could have been made to be so comfortable to so many. Lakeland, I’ve owed you a dedicated gratitude for a long time. My thanks and my best wishes that you continue to embellish the lives of your neighbors and friends.

I had been looking for some time for a good pair of Adirondack chairs for my wife when she stumbled across these and sent me a link. When I had read the reviews and considered the price, it seemed like a win.Upon opening the box, I was a bit disappointed that only the seat back/bottom are sanded (and not that horribly well), the legs and arms are medium rough to downright splinter-y in places. It took me about 30min per chair with a sander to smooth out the rough edges and then another 15mins or so to assemble on average (20min for first and then 10min for second). Another gripe was they give you a dozen or so 5″ wood screws to drill through the joints, but really leave your own for placement. When finished, the chairs are comfortable reasonably substantial even though they might only way 20lbs or something. I am 6′ and 350lbs and I can get in and out of the chairs without worry of anything breaking or cracking and the chair doesn’t creak or wobble like something bad is going to happen. All in all, I would buy again (and we will, probably a matching pair). I docked a star for the finish of the arms and legs and the screw placement, but I would still rate these a pretty good bargain.

I had some major issues with this product while trying to assemble it. Initially I gave this 1 star, but I’m changing it to 5 after dealing with their customer service. They were extremely responsive, and they took care of my issues very quickly. Can recommend. I will say that these are straight from the factory, so be aware that there may be some rough areas that you want to sand down a little bit to avoid splinters.

chairs… that is…These chairs look sweet surrounding my bonfire pit. I think a 3rd grader could assemble them but putting them together definitely gave my girlfriend the impression that I was handy. Can’t ever turn down a few easy brownie points. They ship unfinished, and being that they are kind of pricey (although not as much as Lowes has them listed for, 174.99 plus shipping) I decided I would put two coats of polyurethane on them for added protection against the elements, and beer spillage. That was kinda annoying but worth it. Buy these chairs, you will not be disappointed.Note: you will need a rubber mallet, 7/16″ socket wrench, and a screw driver (adding in a power drill will save some time)to assemble.

Love this. I bought two of these with a matching coffee table and gave them a light natural stain. They look great on my deck and are not bulky (though they look a little so in the pictures online), they are also amazingly light weight (probably 20-25 lbs) for being so hardy and well made. They are also super comfy and get tons of compliments!

These chairs are an excellent value. They are very well made, will stand up to the elements due to their white cedar construction, and the packaging and assembly instructions are great. We purchased two originally and then ordered two more after seeing how nice they where. My wife is 5’2″ and the seat height and depth are comfortable for her as well as for larger people. The price of $100.00, which includes shipping with Prime membership, makes these chairs very hard to beat. We love them and would buy them again without hesitation.

Purchased 2 chairs and 2 foot stools. Delivered on time in heavy cardboard pkg which was securely sealed. I stained all parts before assembly with cedar colored water based sealant(Olympic). A 30 ounce can covered 2 chairs and 2 foot stools.(barely). I used a rubber headed mallet, power screw driver and socket wrench. Wood screws are used to secure each joint. The screws are about 4 inches long and you will need a powerful driver to seat them fully. I used soft soap on threads to make install easier. On first chair all parts fit together and took about an hour to assemble. I expect the second assembly to take less than 30 min. the trick is learning at what angle to drive the screws. If you get it wrong the point of screw may extend into seating area (ouch).

These things are built like a tank, are attractive, and, being cedar, they should last a long time. I rubbed my set with teak oil to delay the graying process for a while, but they don’t really need treating. If you get the table with it, be aware that the top of the table is pine and should be treated with spar varnish or good exterior paint. I used the oil on mine, but that is not recommended – eventually, I’ll have to clean it with bleach and varnish it.

Really great chairs – we stained ours a blue-ish color and are leaving them out over the winter in the snow and they are holding up great. These are really unique chairs and a bit different from what I could find locally. They are comfortable and were not too difficult to put together. I didn’t think they sat totally flat but that wasn’t a concern for us as we bought four and put them in sandy area around a fire pit. I would buy them again and would surely recommend them to other people looking for nice outside chairs.

These chairs are great. Bought 2 a couple of years ago and decided to add to the set. First chair took about an hour to assemble as it really was easier than it looked but took extra care. The next ones take about 20 minutes. Did not treat the first ones and they have weathered well.

This is the second cedar log chair I have bought from Lakeland Mills. They are very sturdy with mortise and tenon joints and screws where needed. The chairs need to be assembled, but this is easily done, as the mill work is accurate so the chairs come together as designed. The finished product is rugged, comfortable and good looking.

My husband had a koi pond built for me for our anniversary. It is 22’x24′ with big rocks/ boulders all around. It is in sight of the house, but more tucked into the edge of a small meadow, woodsy spot. So any seating that I used had to be to scale or it would have looked silly. But it still needed to be handsome because anyone driving up will see it. And I didn’t want the Adirondack style because those are so hard to get out of! This cedar log style looked like the perfect fit.I ordered two chairs and one love seat. They arrived promptly and my handy neighbor boy put them together easily. He did need a drill. The chairs/love seats are comfortable and handsome. I am 5’4″ and my husband is 6′ and they are comfortable for both of us. The love seats easily fit two adults and a child. After placing them by the pond, I realized I needed another love seat to balance things out so I ordered another. When it came, one of the insert supports had snapped off in the attached “log”. I called customer service from the number on the box. This was about 4:30 on Thursday. The woman was very helpful and explained how to easily remove the broken off plug. The replacement piece was in the mail on Saturday. After the first time we had company over, I realized that just two chairs were not enough! So I am ending up with four of these chairs and two of the love seats. Great product.

Update: as mentioned in original review, package arrived un-taped and chair slat cracked. Tried to fix it with wood glue but continued to crack. Contacted Dana @ Lakeland Mills and she quickly shipped a replacement slat. A+ for customer service.Great chairs, definitely give off the Log Cabin vibe. I am a big guy, 250 pounds, and these sit VERY comfortably. Plenty of room for my wide hips and the slope of the seat is perfect – no struggle to get up but still feel slightly reclined. Construction was easy, but laborious. Used a power drill for the screws. Waiting to stain for a while. Nice big thick logs are great – durable and strong. Only issue was one back seat slat was cracked on one of the two chairs we bought. I wood glued it back, no issues. This was damaged because one box arrived open, with NO packing tape ever installed at the factory, so it shipped all the way from Michigan to NC in an open box! yet somehow all the parts showed up ok except that slat.Arrived on time. Love them!

I bought three of these chairs and the matching end table to create the setting around our Fire Pit (see picture above). They are contoured just right! The backs don’t lean you back too far, like an adirondack, and they’re not too upright. Plus the front of the seats are contoured for comfort. Shipping was fast and accurate, and the chairs went together well. The backs and seats are pre-assembled in the box, then you put the puzzle together (quite easy really). I was a little concerned about the splits in the wood, but as it explains in the product literature, this is part of the normal drying process for cedar. Time will tell how it stands up over the long haul, but for the reasonable price, they sure feel built to last. They come from Michigan, and being a Northerner myself, I feel more confident about wood craftsmanship in the North. I certainly recommend these chairs, and the table.

instructions could be clearer. There are a lot of screws to add and it would have been nice for them to pre-drill at least the starter holes so you knew you were putting them in the right place. Built 2, and the second wasn’t much easier which isn’t a great sign. Encourages a very straight up sitting posture which might not be what you want for “relaxing” but probably much better for your back!

We ordered 4 chairs and 2 end tables. They were delivered in two days as promised and arrived undamaged.Assembling the chairs is a bit more difficult than your standard furniture assembly. This is mainly because 1) some hammering is required to fit the dowels into the holes and 2) some screwing is required in places where there are no pre-drilled holes. I’d say that a drill-driver is a must for this task. The finished product is very comfortable and looks good. They sit evenly on the floor. I expect that they should last for a long time.

Ordered two chairs – knew I would need to pre-drill a few holes and was ok with that..assembly wasn’t too bad. 2nd chair went faster than the first. Was concerned it might not be comfortable, but my husband and I dragged them to the front yard and enjoy a cool beverage while deciding if we liked them. We like them so much , we plan on getting two more.I didn’t want to keep the natural color so I stained both – brings out the rustic. Looks beautiful and can’t wait to move them to the new fire pit. I would highly recommend. Sturdy, not too difficult to assemble and comfortable. Gave it 4 rather than 5 stars just because it would be great if ALL the areas for the screws were pre-drilled.

I have been meaning to write a review on these chairs since my husband and I purchased two of them (in addition to their matching ottomans) in June I but allowed time to get away from me so I sincerely apologize to those of you who may of already purchased this chair and found yourselves feeling as I do. Although the chair LOOKS great (good quality and craftsmanship on at least one of them) it is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever had the misfortune to sit in. The back of it is entirely TOO straight…one of the nice features of an Adirondack is how it seems to allow you to sink back into it just at the right angle to be relaxing and comfortable. NOT the case here. You sit completely upright. Very uncomfortable. Fortunately, I don’t have back problems but if you do, you will not be able to sit long in this chair, it is just that uncomfortable (with or without back/neck issues)The arms of the chair are not long enough so should you want to rest your arms on the armrest it is impossible because they fall off the end (imagine the lower part of your arm, wrist and hand dangling mid air because there is no arm rest to support it… and I am a smaller stature person (5’2) so if MY arms fall off the end of it…any one else’s will probably fall off too. Because we were refurnishing our sun porch we bought two of these chairs (in the same purchase). The second one was made unevenly so every time we sit down in it (which is next to never) it rocks because one of the legs is shorter than the other three. With all fairness to the manufacturer, I let too much time pass and did not inform them of this chair’s defect but I guess to an extent, I asked myself what were they going to do? Tell me to package it back up and return it? Send me another one for free? Fly out to my home and fix it? Hardly, so I just let it go as a huge purchasing mistake. Like I said, if all you want is a chair that will “look” good that you never, ever have plans or desire to sit in…this is the one for you. But if you see this chair and imagine sitting out somewhere, enjoying the weather and relaxing in it after a long day..don’t be a fool like me…that is not going to happen with this chair…keep looking, I sure wish we had before spending so much money on something we can’t even sit in or enjoy.

I purchased three. Each box was in great shape and contained all parts. All parts were in fantastic shape. Was glad to see the back and seat were preassembled. Assembly is easy, 20 to 30 minutes per chair if you take your time (with 7/16 ratchet, rubber mallet, and battery powered Philips screwdriver). Beautiful and comfortable. Solid chairs. My family wanted them turquoise. I will be getting additional chairs.

I bought other chairs a month before and they were complete and utter crap. I paid another $30.00 for these that are made in the USA and easy to put together. It took me 15 per chair. They look beautiful, all my guests ask me for the website for them and ordered a bench because I was so impressed. Fantastic job on the look and comfort of the chair.

I purchased the Lakeland Mills Adirondack chairs and Log End Table. So happy with both purchases! They were exactly as they appeared in the pictures. The only difficulty I had was when the holes for piece insertion didn’t fit exactly, had to manipulate the pieces together. But, it wasn’t difficult.

Chairs arrived within a few days. Easy assembly with a mallet and drill. Instructions easy to follow or watch the video. Staining was time consuming but worth the effort. We stained them assembled because we didn’t have enough space to lay out all the pieces individually to dry. We used Cabot Gold in Sunlit Walnut found at Ace. Chairs are comfortable as is without pillows.

I was looking at Adirondack chairs and had grew up in a beach cottage with a slew of them, i seen this chair and looked at reviews, looked at the Lakeland Mills website. BEAUTIFUL chair, sits like an Adirondack but not that low and the back rises up so you can rest your noggin. Look at other reviews and about putting this chair together it does help. Pre-drilling holes a must. I bought 2 of these first one just over an hour to put together but once you get the hang of it the second one was 20 minutes. Plus I bought the ottoman.Great deal very sturdy product Plus MADE IN USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This chair is nice and is made of real wood. The instructions aren’t great but you can figure out which piece goes where by process of elimination. Would have liked the screws to have a pilot hole locating them because I was having a hard time making my mind up where they should best be placed. I used a power drill for the loose screws, can’t imagine putting them in by hand. The 3/8″ socket wrench worked well with the 2 pre-set screws. The wood is raw and unfinished. I plan to polyurethane it for protection but I like the natural coloring.

I received this in only a couple of days after ordering, and it was compactly but securely packaged from the factory. All of the necessary parts were inside, olong with a packing list, and the assembly instructions were clear. Finishing on the wood was mostly smooth, and there was some logical deduction needed to fingure out which side some of the assymetrical parts were to go on, but looking at the location of the bored holes was adequate to figure this out (the instructions were obviosly intended for more experienced folk than I am), but everything went without a hitch first time around. It is a good idea to sit in the chair before driving in the final screws to ensure that it will sit without wobbling on a flat surface. That minor adjustment took place quickly and on driving the strews home was all that was needed. The chair is quite sturdy and the two of us fit each other well. I’m quite happy with this purchase as well as with the price!

Durable, comfortable and look great out on my back patio. An application of some kind of water sealant (approx every 1.5 years for the Thompson’s water seal I used) if left outside will probably help to extend ge chairs life. Fairly easy assembly although the instructions weren’t fantastic, but you can figure it out.

A little rough but I have faith that they will break in. I haven’t had them long so time will tell but after we put them together, I smiled.

We purchased (3) of these and (3) of the bench glider for a fire pit we had built. Pretty easy to assemble, all the pieces fit without any issues. I have a valuable tip: if you are going to stain or seal these (recomended) then stain all the pieces FIRST then assemble. I decided to do this after we had the first bench assembled. So we disassembled the bench and began staining everything. Best decision EVER!

i gave it a five. Yes some of the wood has slits, but not enough to worry about, The chair is easy to put to gether and me being 69 completed in about 45 minutes, I used a regular drill and worked fine, Use a ratchet for the two bolts in each chair, Got 2. They are comfortable and glat I invested in them. Only one flaw was one arm on one chair is darker and almost looks like pine and not cedar, But will see, Still happy with purchase

Bought 4 of the chairs after carefully reviewing and researching them. The chairs would be placed along our fire pit at the rear of the home. Product arrived as anticipated. Construction of the chairs was fairly easy. After assembly we applied a clear, oil based sealant, prior to using the chairs. The product chosen was PPG/Olympic clear wood protectant. We applied the finish liberally by brush and allowed it to dry for 48 hours prior to use.Initial impression of the chairs is they are of a high quality. You are purchasing a rustic product so knots and splits will be there, and that is why we chose these chairs. The chairs sit extremely comfortable. The only complaint, if it is one, is the seating part could be a little longer. I would recommend the manufacturer consider the seat portion of the chair be extended out about 2-4 inches more to compliment the already nice design.Overall we would recommend this product with the stipulation that prior to service apply a sealant to maintain the quality.

Bought 4 of these. They are made to exact perfect specifications. Every piece goes together easily. It took me about 10 minutes to build each one of the chairs I bought. Once built they are pretty comfortable. You dont recline as much as you would in a normal Adirondack chair which to me is a good thing. However if you sit on these for more than about 20-30 minutes your butt will start to hurt and you might want a cushion. Bottom line is these chairs are awesome and Lakeland Mills makes great products!

These chairs fit in perfectly in my back yard. I have two of them and 3 pine tree stumps around a fire pit. These are non-aromatic cedar chairs with no finish. I suppose if you wanted to you could stain these really easily before putting them together. In hindsight I should have put a clear finish on them before assembling them, but they are holding up great outside with no finish – they are just graying.

They’re very sturdy and comfortable…. and extremely stable on the uneven ground in my woods. They were the perfect addition to my backyard fire ring area. These are the most comfortable wood chairs! I’m short and my feet touch the floor! I sat in one on vacation and had to find them ASAP for us! So happy with purchase. It took my DH 30 min. To put the first one together and 15 min. On the second one using his power drill. I even love the cracks because I have had a bed made of federal for over 20 years and the cracks are part of the look. That’s what happens when wood dries out, it’s not a problem and won’t break. Very happy and now I want 2 more!

Unless you can find better, cheaper, buy these. Construction is solid, size is generous, assembly is very easy with a ratchet. I’m happy and I’ll probably get more matching pieces. The chairs are pretty good, but unfinished seems to also mean unsanded. I did find unfinished but well sanded ones at Tractor Supply later on, for about the same price. You will spend $50 or so for the finish and still have to sand the chair and apply the finish yourself. Not hard to do, really. I’d say they’re fairly well worth the money though. As far as the line they give you about cracks in the wood, they may not hurt a chair in most cases, but it’s still second rate wood by any grading standards. Still worth the price.

Just received two out of the four of these that we ordered, and I am very happy with them. They need a little sanding as we are going to seal them before assembly, but after a dry fit everything lines up perfectly and they are not at all difficult to put together. As noted in some other reviews, the logs are cracked or split, but this is completely normal for log furniture. We have a king size cedar log canopy bed and every one of the logs is split from top to bottom. This is a normal side effect of the drying process and does not effect the strength or lifespan of the logs. I have never seen log furniture that does not have splits in the logs, and honestly I think it adds character. Very pleased with these chairs and would purchase again.

Love this chair! We ordered 1 to try it out and then ordered 3 more plus the love seat! wood is very hefty and substantial looking. We stained them and then applied a water sealer. A lot of Adirondack type chairs are hard to get out of, but these are not. They are not sloped back as far as some. Very comfy. Look great around our fire pit!

I almost always read these reviews and try to leave them when I can. These chairs are just wonderful!! I got them for our birthdays and the other half couldn’t be happier. He loves them! I sanded down a few areas with the electric sander just so that if we sit in them with certain fabrics there will be no snags. Took us about a half hour to put two together and another half hour to sand. I plan on clear coating them later this week. We had to sand a bit off the legs of one of them to get it completely steady, but who cares – they are after all made from wood and are not cookie cutter stamped out. Great buy – plan on buying two more or the loveseat or the glider – can’t make up my mind! Thanks Lakeland Mills for a wonderful American Made product at a great price AND for the Prime shipping!!!P.S. – I have already had two friends tell me they are getting them after seeing mine!

The chair looks rustic as expected, the already fixed screws haven’t a perfect look and the wood had to be re-treated with sandpaper at some positions. But we are lucky in the end.

Wonderful chair. I only bought one to make sure I liked sitting in it. Very comfortable. Only took about 10 minutes to assemble. Strong and sturdy. I like that it came unfinished. But a week after I received it I went back to buy the other 3 and now they are $40 more a chair.

These chairs are really beautiful! I read earlier reviews about the cracked wood; it is part of the drying process and we are having no issues with that. We also thought that we would need to stain them, but they will naturally wear like cedar shingles. One thing that I will confirm is that putting these chairs together is not as easy as the directions. You will need a drill with a drill bit and a socket wrench. We found that we needed to drill pilot holes. We purchased 6 chairs and reduced time from 2 hours to start to 25 minutes once we figured it out. In the end, they are very well worth the effort and the price can’t be beat.

I love, love, love these chairs! Great quality, easy to assemble. Based on other reviews, we pre-drilled a few of the screws to make it easier. It took my husband and I an hour or so to assemble two chairs. They look terrific at our Colorado mountain property. On the advise of others, as well as the manufacturer, I sealed with an Olympic waterproofing sealer before assembly–after would have been much harder to do. I will not hesitate to buy other furniture pieces from Lakeland Mills.

I’m 6’5″ and weigh 240 lbs. These chairs are sturdy enough to hold me and comfortable enough to use as something more than just decoration for my yard. Cedar doesn’t have to be sealed either, so you just fit everything together, turn a couple lags, screw a few wood screws into place and you’re done. Can’t believe I got these for such a great price.Cons:Only problem I had with the assembly was that one of the arm rest holes wasn’t drilled in the right place. I drilled one that worked.NECESSITIES WHEN ASSEMBLING:1) Drill (don’t try to hand screw this item together)2) #2 Phillips driving bit3) 3/16 wood drill bit (just in case you have to drill your arm rest holes)4) Socket wrench w/ 11mm socket (for the 2 lag screws)5) Rubber mallet or hammer with wood block (to hammer parts in place)Should take about 10-20 minutes to assemble, depending on your expertise.

Love these chairs from Lakeland Mills. Had trouble ordering with credit card direct to company so went through outdoorsiness. Shipped quickly, arrived in one box each, easy to carry to assembly area. Back and seat come pre-assembled and the arm rests and legs need to be pounded in place with a rubber mallet or hammer and towel, then secured with long screws which are provided (a power drill for the screws would be helpful). Clear directions. The first chair was done in about 45 minutes and the second one took even less time. Very comfortable and sturdy.

Highly recommended, I have two of these and the end table, top notch, very satisfied with the quality and ease of assembly. I put them together alone and each chair takes about 20 mins if you take you time and the table was even easier. My first chair is about 5 yrs old and has held up perfectly to the elements, it sits outside with no cover and is not treated, I just recently added a couple more pieces. Very comfortable and very “country chic”.

Bought this chair to accent a companion rocker and then added a table and foot stool. It is a great combination and the rustic look combined with the solid design and construction are great. The back of the chair is a little “flat” and would be more comfortable if it were curved, but for reading or relaxing for a few hours at a time I would recommend it. Also water sealed this chair and it brings out the colors in the cedar. An inexpensive way to have an interesting rustic look for a deck or dock. Would recommend it.

very sturdy chair. was looking to get away from the look (and expense) of adirondacks. seems well made, and setup took minutes. stained with Min Wax dark walnut and coated with polyurethane. looking forward to years of use.EDIT 5/3/19Still going strong, very sturdy chair. Be careful, however, carpenter bees love these things! no fault of the chair, obviously!!!

I purchased 4 of these chairs to put in front of my outdoor fire place…They are very sturdy and comfortable…Perfect for sitting by the fire…Position is similar to an Adirondack chair but not as low and don’t lean back as much which I find to be more comfortable…I have other cedar log chairs which are still in great shape after 20 years, so I am looking forward to many years of use…They are the perfect chair for a rustic look…LOVE them!

I have 16 pieces of Lakeland Mills natural cedar furniture … five lounge chairs, two rocking chairs, three small round tables, a loveseat, a picnic table, and four curved picnic table bench seats … some pieces for three years now. As you can guess I like this furniture very much. It is the best outdoor furniture I have ever owned. The curved design of the seats is particularly noteworthy for its comfort … my friends and I have sat in these chairs for hours around the fire pit with no discomfort. The cedar develops a natural silver patina over time. I like that patina, but I also like the natural cedar color, so every summer I power wash the furniture, which removes the patina, and I start the process all over again. I live in the northern Rocky Mountains of western Montana and the furniture is outside all year long … warm and cold, snow, rain, and sunshine. All but three pieces sit on the grass, those other three on a redwood deck. The furniture is durable, good looking, comfortable, and feels solid. And it is all made in the USA. You can’t beat this furniture.

I plan on staining the chairs to keep them looking good.

I wasn’t sure if I would like these chairs when I saw them listed. Matt main concern was the little scalloped edges at the front of the seat. However we put them together last night and my concerns were for naught. They are very easy to assemble, and very comfortable to sit in.

Solid and attractive chairs. Takes some effort to put together and they need a coat of stain as well. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that many of the round “log” pieces arrived checked or split which may be bothersome to some. Also, the flat surfaces are rough, requiring a light sanding or the use of chair pads.

I love this chair, I bought the rocking chair version to put outside to relax on this summer and when I was done assembling it and giving it a nice polyurethane finish it was so lovely and comfortable that I kept it inside and ordered this one for outdoors. It arrived quickly and I assembled it, put the polyurethane finish on the seat surface, the back surface the arm upper surface. I want to be able to towel the rain off of it and enjoy sitting outdoors immediately after the summer rain showers and this proves viable, I also coated the rough end grains with polyurethane so they don’t tend to absorb water and stay soggy, then a thin coat over the rest for posterity sake and Voila ! The “angle of the dangle” is perfect on these chairs (at my height 5’7″ ) and sitting flat against the back is as good as a trip to the chiropractor… straightens things right out.

Had these chairs going on three years now – absolutely love them. Wish that I had bought four instead of just the two. Strong, sturdy, very comfortable for sitting around the fire. Strong recommend.

I love this chair, I bought the rocking chair version to put outside to relax on this summer and when I was done assembling it and giving it a nice polyurethane finish it was so lovely and comfortable that I kept it inside and ordered this one for outdoors. These are really nice, I bought two. The first assembly fought me a bit but the second one was real easy. I think you need to be careful to line up the legs really well so they fit into the seat sections. I may have been off a bit the first time. I put some water seal on them tonight and it really brings out the color. Very comfortable, a bit more upright than Adirondack chairs. Seem very sturdy and they’re actually made in the USA which is rare. I bought two with the intention to buy two more if I liked them but now the price went up $70. Ugh.

Easy to put together with two people, but one person can also handle the job. Very comfortable, easy to get in and out of, just the right height.

Bought as a set with table and lounge chair and 2nd chair. If you are not willing to do some sanding and re-positioning of slats and some re drilling, then this outdoor furniture is not for you. Quality control is poor. We had to do a lot of “tweeking” and sanding to make it look good and get rid of splinter hazards. Two slats were split, we fixed one and ordered a new one. They get 3 stars because customer service is excellent.

I’ve purchased two lounge chairs, two foot stools and a side table. I’m a small 60 year old woman and had no trouble putting them all together. They look wonderful………..very rustic. They’re all very sturdy too.

The chair was easy to assemble. The instructions are clear, and the pieces are cut to exact specifications. You start by fitting the arms, legs, back and seat together by connecting tapered ends into pre-cut holes. You finish by tightening a pair of bolts and adding screws to secure the tapered ends into their holes. Like many, I could not imagine adding the screws without drilling guide-holes and using a power screwdriver. The finished product looks like its pictures, and is appropriate for most decks, back yards, beaches. The seat is curved a little, and puts you in a comfortable position against the slightly reclined back. I’m tall, so it’s a little low for me for comfortable reading. But like many, I will probably use a cushion, which will also put me in a slightly higher position.I would recommend sanding the arm rests. I am not going to add stain. Stain would preserve a color, but this cedar should weather to a natural grey.

I got four of these for my dock in south Florida. I’ve had them for about 3 months now in the sun and rain and they’re holding up well. Note that the assembly is fairly involved, it took my friend and I 2-3 hours to assemble all 4 and apply water seal. Definitely apply water seal if they’re going to be outside! The only other thing to consider is since they are solid wood, they are very heavy compared to plastic lounge chairs (I’d say ~25lb each).

The first thing I love is that the chair is outstandingly well made in the USA. All the pieces fit, all the parts were present and the instructions were extremely clear and easy to follow. It took 30 minutes to assemble . I wasn’t rushing , you may finish more quickly. The chairs are sturdy and well built. They weigh about 35lbs , so they are substantial . The cedar has a nice look. I am going to use a clear cedar toner to protect them. I bought four chairs for around the fire pit . They look great. Five stars – nothing but praise.

Let’s say you’ve got a little extra cushion for the pushin’. Let’s say you love some BBQ ribs and bacon, and you’re not a vegan. Let’s say you’ve got a little extra meat on your bones. Don’t fret. This chair has got your back(side). Sturdy as Amish furniture.

I looked around for a long time and made a few false starts before purchasing this chair. The build quality and materials are excellent. I now own two of these chairs. One of themdid come with a slightly warped seat slat. It felt OK sitting in it but I decided to call Lakeland Millscustomer service anyway. What wonderful helpful and fast help they were. They sent me a replacementslat by US Priority mail. Installed the replacement part and it is perfect now !This is by no doubt ,a fabulous company which is located and builds right here in the USA.Earlier I mentioned about false starts. Well there is another company named ” Tidewater “,I tried them first and they were just terrible. Oh well, live and learn. From now it will only be Lakeland Mills I will deal with .

Ordered 4 chairs, 2 end tables, ottoman, love seat and tete te.Arrived reasonably well packaged. I thought the instructions were a little vague at times. Took me about 3 hours to put everything together. Once you assemble the first item it gets easier quickly.I found it best in some cases not to drive the pieces tightly together as in some instances it led to a chair that rocked a little. There is a slight learning curve to get it right but not too bad.Word of advice: Each piece has at least fourteen 2 1/2″ screws that lock everything in place. Unless you have forearms like Popeye it is going to be impossible to screw them in by hand. I used a cordless drill which was incredibly useful. Make sure you have an extra driver bit if you’re doing more than a couple of pieces. Despite attempts to be careful I managed to strip 2 Phillips bits during assembly…maybe they were just cheap bits?

Just received this chair this week, and put it together right away. Directions are good, the video is even more helpful; just have to make sure all the holes are facing the right direction. The quality and sturdiness of this chair is excellent. I also called the company with a question on finishing the chair and he answered the phone and was very helpful. The chair is comfortable and will be a great addition to my firepit, and I may order more. Great experience!

These are the most well made outdoor chairs I’ve ever had. We ordered them FOUR years ago and have left them outside in the wind, rain, snow, the whole time. They’re still in perfect condition. I’m about to order more because our other chairs have fallen apart! What a great product.

Bought two of these chairs and one round coffee table to set between them. Assembled myself with a power drill which was essential. Followed directions and was not too hard but did take an hour or so to do each.Happy with the result and from experience with this cedar log furniture will weather well and look charming for years. (I do try to put them under cover during the winter weather which extends their life and appearance considerably.) I prefer a natural, unvarnished and unpainted finish.

    1. Drill pilot holes with a very small bit…I built two chairs, the first took a very painful hour and the screws were very difficult to drill in. The second chair only took 25 easy minutes. I was able to sink the screws very effortlessly. Awesome chairs!2. Buy teak oil and cover the chairs with it. Makes them UV resistant and water resistant…looks good too.

Bought 4 of these for around a fire pit. Finished them with a clear Pittsburgh Paints oil finish and they look spectacular. Liked them so much we kept two on the deck and will buy two more for four by the firepit. They are comfortable and very sturdy. You do have to wrestle with them a bit when assembling, I used a rubber mallet to “encourage” the joints together…no big deal. For the price they’re worth it over the flimsy Adirondacks out there.

I love these chairs – our parents have them up at their lake house, so I purchased two of them for my husbands birthday for our new patio and fire pit. I’ve assembled them before and they are pretty simple to put together if you follow the instructions. However 1 of the 2 chairs that we received proved to be extremely difficult to assemble due to the fact that the dowels on the ends of some of the pieces were too large or not sanded down enough to comfortably fit into the holes of the compatible pieces. If this were my first time assembling these, I might have thought I had done something wrong, but no matter how many times I took them a part and started over the one chair must have been slightly defective, because we could not make it fit properly. My husband ended up sanding down the dowels that were too large and we were able to make it work, but it was definitely a hassle. Once we got the chair properly assembled, it works great and is very comfortable. 4 stars due to the defect.

Just bought a fire pit set, 4 chairs, 3 end tables, and a love seat, and all of them were easy to assemble, arrived in good condition, and are really comfortable. I believe these items are all very well crafted and should hold up great with a little stain and water sealant. I would recommend them to anyone if they are willing to do a little work to assemble and apply a stain and water sealant.

I believe these items are all very well crafted and should hold up great with a little stain and water sealant. I would recommend them to anyone if they are willing to do a little work to assemble and apply a stain and water sealant.

I love these chairs. I ordered 4 and tried to put the first one together. That lasted about 5 minutes. My neighbors put them together for them. It took approximately 2 hours per chair. They are extremely comfortable and I have received so many compliments on them. I am extremely happy that I ordered them.I have not stained them, but might at a later date. I love the raw cedar look. These are great chairs for a great price.

Ordered two. The seat in one is so raw, it will give you slivers in your behind. The arm, where your hand would rest, looks like it was ripped from another piece of wood, again, putting the occupant at risk of getting slivers in their wrist. You may want to do some finish work before applying stain/sealer. On the positive side, They are great looking, and will be a wonderful addition to my designated area.

Bought 2 of these chairs. They are well made and comfortable. They don’t lean back as far as a Adirondack chair so the are easier to get out of. You You will need a hammer, block of wood and a drill with a phillips bit to put the chair together. Before you put the screws in make sure that you have someone sitting in the chair on a flat surface. This will ensure that the chair will sit level.

Excellent product and prompt delivery. Make sure you have a rubber mallet or dead-blow hammer and screw gun (cordless drill) for assembly.

Ordered two of these chairs. Delivery came in 2 days with Prime service. It’s straight forward and very easy to put together. The logs came unfinished and the natural cedar wood character is very beautiful just like what you see in picture. The chairs are solid, stable and very comfortable. According to manufacture, cracking/checking is expected for logs furnitures as the pieces are not clue together like traditional fine furniture. I live in snow area and finishing the wood is recommended. I looked at the manufacture recommendation for outdoor logs furniture finishes and they recommend that “you use a quality penetrating oil finish that has UV inhibitors.Should any graying occur, you can wash with warm soapy bleach water. Manufacturer’s suggested solution is:-1 gallon water to 1 cup bleach-Add a squeeze of dish soap-Reapply penetrating oil finish as needed”Hope this helps!

I researched these type of chairs quite extensively before purchasing these and I couldn’t be happier! They are less expensive than other similar chairs, are very well made and sturdy and even an amateur could put them together and weather proof them (me!) . The weather proofing brought out beautiful grain in the wood and it looks absolute great around our new fire pit. They are comfortable for me, 5 feet 4 in and my 6 foot 3 in husband, not an easy feat. Enjoying a brew sitting in them right now. We also bought two end tables and are ordering a tete a tete to complete our set.

Searched all the internet sources, and I mean ALL the internet sources, because I wanted 6 chairs and was determined to find the best priced, sturdiest chair. I did. These are unfinished and partially assembled, but using power drills and patience, I had all 6 together in less than 3 hours (by myself). Note: driving the screws into the dowels is tricky, but not impossible. I will stain and seal them since they will be left to the elements of a Michigan summer. These chairs are not as big as the costly models, having a slightly narrower, shallower seat, but will still hold my husband and sons comfortably. The legs are thick and much nicer wood than I expected. Reading the directions and literature helped me understand assembly and that natural flaws in the cedar are common, so I will sand a couple rough spots and plan on using these Adirondack chairs for years to come.

We ordered several pieces of the Lakeland Mills Cedar Log furniture after we attended a BBQ and sat in one of the lounge chairs. Absolutely the most comfortable chairs you’ll ever sit in. We purchased 4 chairs, two small round tables, the small bench and two of the square end tables. LOVE them all. These are high quality, American made and very reasonably priced. We did put a light coat of boiled linseed oil on them (not needed) but it brought out the the beautiful rich color variations in the wood. P.S. Boiled linseed oil is very toxic to dogs, exercise caution if pets are around.

I hesitantly bought three of these chairs. I loved the way they looked online, but wasn’t sure about the comfort factor. My husband had absolutely no trouble putting these together. They are quite impressive. We stained them a cedar color and water proofed them. I can’t tell you just how thrilled I am with these chairs! I am 5′ 1, and my husband is 5′ 9, and they are incredibly comfortable for us both. I have had so many people stop and tell me how beautiful these are, and we live on an average. They were driving by and got out of their car, walked up to me while I was working on the patio, and asked where I bought them. I am getting ready to by three more. The wind is horrible out here, and we needed something that wouldn’t blow away. They are perfect, very heavy, very rustic looking, and yes, the wood had long splits in it. That is how this wood is….if you don’t like the log cabin look, then why are you looking at these? Love Love Love them!!!!

I previously purchased the love seat & love it..the chair is matching. Both are very sturdy & solid…a bit hard for me to assemble (got my son to do it) as it requires strong wrists for the final part..it wasn’t hard to assemble, I just have weak wrists. I actually put most of it together. it looks great in my back yard & is very comfortable.

My wife and I bought three of these chairs, three of the loveseats, and three end tables. Everything was great quality, easy to assemble, and quite comfortable to sit in. We stained all the pieces the same color as the timber on our deck and put them around a large fire bowl. Very cool and a great look. Please note that it’s best to use a power screwdriver or drill with a screwdriver bit to install the screws.

Good relaxing chairs. Easy to install, just takes 30 minutes if you have the right tools. I quickly stained the fully assembled with a dark brown/reddish stain and the cedar wood took the stain perfect. The look great. Very solid. I did trim the back legs a 1-2” lower so you would lean back a bit more.

All in all it is very comfortable, sturdy and doesn’t look like something you’d pick up for $29.95 at one of the big box stores. It went together pretty well, but you’d better have a cordless screwdriver or you’ll be wishing you did. As promised, some of the cedar pieces had splits in them. They say right out of the box that splits are to be expected, but I would have given it 5 stars if they could have managed to produce it w/o those splits.

I bought one of these and liked it so well that I bought another one. They go together very nicely and they are very comfortable to sit in. I soaked four steel wool pads in 1/2 gal. of vinegar for several days drained it off and added 1/2 gal. more water to dilute it and sprayed it on them. They turned a beautiful color grey making them look like they were weathered. Great product

I ordered these chairs based on the reviews. And I have to say that I am not disappointed! These chairs are so comfortable and easy to get in and out of. They look great and are sturdy and easy to assemble. I took the suggestions from other reviews to stain the chairs. I have them outside and want complete protection from the elements. I called Lakeland Mills and asked for recommendations for which stain to use. The woman I spoke to said many of the customers she had spoken to used a product called TWP. Have to say it’s the perfect stain. Overall, don’t second guess yourself, buy the chairs!

So sturdy and comfortable with cushions. A bit of a chore putting them together, a few holes for bolts were missing or misaligned, but we got it done. Have spent many hours on the porch rocking or sitting in these. Bought both the lounge chair and the rocker – not sure which I like better! Best outdoor chairs I’ve ever purchased.

Thsi is a very nice chair. It maybe 40 minutes to put together and that was without rushing and without proper tools. It says you need a rubber mallet which could be helpful but a few hits from my palm did the trick. Everything fit together nicely. I did use a hammer in a few spots (while cushioning the wood with a towel since I don’t have a rubber mallet). You should have a ratchet or wrench set, but I used an adjustable wrench which worked just fine. I also had a drill for the screws. A few screws required me to finish off with a screwdriver since the screws are sunk deep into the wood and my drill wouldn’t go in that far. There are some places where there are no holes pre-drilled for the screws but they’re not necessary. The screws go in very easily without pre-drilling.Once assembled, it’s very sturdy and feels extremely solid. It’s cedar so it should hold up to the elements as far as rotting, etc., but I did purchase some clear coat to give it a finish. It’s fine without a finish (no splintering or anything) but cedar does change color in the sun without finish and I’d like to try to preserve the natural cedar look as long as I can.I’d buy another one.

Absolutely love these chairs. We got two and the glider for around our new fire pit. We decided to do a clear stain to keep the color. They got a bit more orange-ish from the stain but they are still great. Very comfortable. My husband put them together, so I can’t speak to that. I know it took some time, but he didn’t seem irritated by it.

These rustic cedar lounge adirondeck style chairs are the best quality and look so great in the corner of our wooded property along with the cedar log swing. Could not be happier. They are super comfortable and very substantial and solid.

Took to stain beautifully. Stained it befor assembling. Beware the long screws that require a 3/8 inch wrench. Power tools can strip them. Otherwise we are all good. There has been a 50% price increase since I bought mine within the last 2 months, go figure?

I am SO pleased with these chairs. They are just exactly the right height (a bit lower than standard chairs) for my outside patio table. They are rustic, rugged, very well built, and made of solid, long-lasting cedar. My only (minor) criticism is that the little cross-braces on the front legs are flat-cut, and they mate to round logs. This bugged me, so I sanded a cup-shape into them before I installed them. Made me feel better :o)All-in-all, an extremely fine product, and made-in-US to boot.

solid chairs…I bought 4 chairs but one had a broken slat on the back. I called Lakeland Mills and they were very helpful. I had a new complete chair back in 2 days. Very impressed with the service!

We ordered 4 of these. They are easy to assemble and look terrific around our fire pit. We stained them with a natural color weathering stain and they look beautiful. They are very comfortable and the price is right. I might order more.

The quality is fair. Chairs are sturdy when assembled. However, I had to rob parts from the other orders being two of the chairs were packed with 3 back legs and 1 front leg. Plus one of the legs is split on each side. Cedar splits, but a load bearing beam shouldn’t be split on two sides. That will fail at one point. Hopefully the company sends me replacement parts or at least one is going back. Now, as one other post said, if you see oiling, staining, etc. do this before assembly.Update: customer service has new parts coming to me. Very easy to work with and did well confirming my order.

Easily put together. All you need is a rubber mallet, a screw driver and a 7/16 driver bit. I recommend a cordless screw driver too. I put together the first of fours chairs in about 8 minutes. The next three were faster since I knew what I was doing… The wood quality is really good. It is cedar so it either has splits or will have them. That is normal. The seat and back come pre-assembled! The best part is that we found them to be very comfortable! The seat bottom has a curve and the arm rests are angled. Well thought out and priced great!

Great product. I spent quite a bit of time sanding the chair before I put it together. There was a large crack in the one arm but it didn’t cause any kind of malfunction. Much deeper/larger and the arm wouldn’t have been functional. Very happy with this product so far. The chair is extremely comfortable and sturdy.
