Very pleased with these chairs. Agreed with others when putting together have someone sit in them when tightening the hardware so it levels the chairs. I also sanded all the pieces before putting together. Fairly easy to assemble. Fits tall men as well.

Really like these chairs. Bought one to check it out and then purchased another five. Haven’t put the other five together yet, but the one is good. I like it a lot. It’s comfortable, easy to put together and seems sturdy. There are some imperfections (cracks) in the wood (see pic), but as long as you use good protectant you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. These are a good buy.

This Rustic cedar log chair was fairly easy to assemble. I did not have any problems following the directions. I did have problems with the preassembled chair bottom and back. I wanted to apply a stain and UV sealer to protect the chair so I disassembled the chair bottom and backs to stain each piece. It was difficult to remove the screws as 90% of them were driven into the product too far and the screws stripped out the wood so the screws did not back out easily. I had to repair the screw holes prior to reassembly. There were also extra holes in the wood log as if it was assembled incorrectly then reassembled prior to shipping. I would have preferred receiving a completely unassembled kit. one of the chair seat boards had a significant split that I needed to glue and clamp overnight prior to staining. Overall, the price was reasonable but the quality control was not up to my standards

More comfortable than Adirondack chairs. Very sturdy but portable without a lot of effort. Bought two and they’re just what we wanted. We did end up having to use a power drill for screwing the members into the dowels. No big deal, but the instructions didn’t include that tidbit. Highly recommend these USA made chairs.

I had been looking for some time for a good pair of Adirondack chairs for my wife when she stumbled across these and sent me a link. When I had read the reviews and considered the price, it seemed like a win.Upon opening the box, I was a bit disappointed that only the seat back/bottom are sanded (and not that horribly well), the legs and arms are medium rough to downright splinter-y in places. It took me about 30min per chair with a sander to smooth out the rough edges and then another 15mins or so to assemble on average (20min for first and then 10min for second). Another gripe was they give you a dozen or so 5″ wood screws to drill through the joints, but really leave your own for placement. When finished, the chairs are comfortable reasonably substantial even though they might only way 20lbs or something. I am 6′ and 350lbs and I can get in and out of the chairs without worry of anything breaking or cracking and the chair doesn’t creak or wobble like something bad is going to happen. All in all, I would buy again (and we will, probably a matching pair). I docked a star for the finish of the arms and legs and the screw placement, but I would still rate these a pretty good bargain.

Rustic cedar comfortable chairs. You will have to sand the parts before you assemble, but do love them around the firepit.

instructions could be clearer. There are a lot of screws to add and it would have been nice for them to pre-drill at least the starter holes so you knew you were putting them in the right place. Built 2, and the second wasn’t much easier which isn’t a great sign. Encourages a very straight up sitting posture which might not be what you want for “relaxing” but probably much better for your back!

Ordered two chairs – knew I would need to pre-drill a few holes and was ok with that..assembly wasn’t too bad. 2nd chair went faster than the first. Was concerned it might not be comfortable, but my husband and I dragged them to the front yard and enjoy a cool beverage while deciding if we liked them. We like them so much , we plan on getting two more.I didn’t want to keep the natural color so I stained both – brings out the rustic. Looks beautiful and can’t wait to move them to the new fire pit. I would highly recommend. Sturdy, not too difficult to assemble and comfortable. Gave it 4 rather than 5 stars just because it would be great if ALL the areas for the screws were pre-drilled.

This chair is nice and is made of real wood. The instructions aren’t great but you can figure out which piece goes where by process of elimination. Would have liked the screws to have a pilot hole locating them because I was having a hard time making my mind up where they should best be placed. I used a power drill for the loose screws, can’t imagine putting them in by hand. The 3/8″ socket wrench worked well with the 2 pre-set screws. The wood is raw and unfinished. I plan to polyurethane it for protection but I like the natural coloring.

Made in the USA. They are not leaning back like Adirondack chairs.I put a little PL400 in the joints too. I figure they will last a long time around the fire pit.Easy to put together, rubber mallet helps a lot.

Bought 4 of the chairs after carefully reviewing and researching them. The chairs would be placed along our fire pit at the rear of the home. Product arrived as anticipated. Construction of the chairs was fairly easy. After assembly we applied a clear, oil based sealant, prior to using the chairs. The product chosen was PPG/Olympic clear wood protectant. We applied the finish liberally by brush and allowed it to dry for 48 hours prior to use.Initial impression of the chairs is they are of a high quality. You are purchasing a rustic product so knots and splits will be there, and that is why we chose these chairs. The chairs sit extremely comfortable. The only complaint, if it is one, is the seating part could be a little longer. I would recommend the manufacturer consider the seat portion of the chair be extended out about 2-4 inches more to compliment the already nice design.Overall we would recommend this product with the stipulation that prior to service apply a sealant to maintain the quality.

These chairs fit in perfectly in my back yard. I have two of them and 3 pine tree stumps around a fire pit. These are non-aromatic cedar chairs with no finish. I suppose if you wanted to you could stain these really easily before putting them together. In hindsight I should have put a clear finish on them before assembling them, but they are holding up great outside with no finish – they are just graying.

Easy to assemble and nice quality. My only “complaint” is that the seat isn’t quite deep enough, about 2 inches so. Otherwise, it’s great.

Unless you can find better, cheaper, buy these. Construction is solid, size is generous, assembly is very easy with a ratchet. I’m happy and I’ll probably get more matching pieces. The chairs are pretty good, but unfinished seems to also mean unsanded. I did find unfinished but well sanded ones at Tractor Supply later on, for about the same price. You will spend $50 or so for the finish and still have to sand the chair and apply the finish yourself. Not hard to do, really. I’d say they’re fairly well worth the money though. As far as the line they give you about cracks in the wood, they may not hurt a chair in most cases, but it’s still second rate wood by any grading standards. Still worth the price.

The chair looks rustic as expected, the already fixed screws haven’t a perfect look and the wood had to be re-treated with sandpaper at some positions. But we are lucky in the end.

I bought two of these to use on my patio however, after I assemble them I thought of keeping them in my living room because they are so comfortable and beautiful. After assembly, they are very sturdy. The only thing that could have been better was the pre-drilled hole for the arm rest did not line-up so I had to drill new holes on both chairs. I plan on staining the chairs to keep them looking good.

Solid and attractive chairs. Takes some effort to put together and they need a coat of stain as well. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that many of the round “log” pieces arrived checked or split which may be bothersome to some. Also, the flat surfaces are rough, requiring a light sanding or the use of chair pads.

The chair was easy to assemble. The instructions are clear, and the pieces are cut to exact specifications. You start by fitting the arms, legs, back and seat together by connecting tapered ends into pre-cut holes. You finish by tightening a pair of bolts and adding screws to secure the tapered ends into their holes. Like many, I could not imagine adding the screws without drilling guide-holes and using a power screwdriver. The finished product looks like its pictures, and is appropriate for most decks, back yards, beaches. The seat is curved a little, and puts you in a comfortable position against the slightly reclined back. I’m tall, so it’s a little low for me for comfortable reading. But like many, I will probably use a cushion, which will also put me in a slightly higher position.I would recommend sanding the arm rests. I am not going to add stain. Stain would preserve a color, but this cedar should weather to a natural grey.

Ordered 4 chairs, 2 end tables, ottoman, love seat and tete te.Arrived reasonably well packaged. I thought the instructions were a little vague at times. Took me about 3 hours to put everything together. Once you assemble the first item it gets easier quickly.I found it best in some cases not to drive the pieces tightly together as in some instances it led to a chair that rocked a little. There is a slight learning curve to get it right but not too bad.Word of advice: Each piece has at least fourteen 2 1/2″ screws that lock everything in place. Unless you have forearms like Popeye it is going to be impossible to screw them in by hand. I used a cordless drill which was incredibly useful. Make sure you have an extra driver bit if you’re doing more than a couple of pieces. Despite attempts to be careful I managed to strip 2 Phillips bits during assembly…maybe they were just cheap bits?

Ordered 4 chairs, 2 end tables, ottoman, love seat and tete te.Arrived reasonably well packaged. I thought the instructions were a little vague at times. I love these chairs – our parents have them up at their lake house, so I purchased two of them for my husbands birthday for our new patio and fire pit. I’ve assembled them before and they are pretty simple to put together if you follow the instructions. However 1 of the 2 chairs that we received proved to be extremely difficult to assemble due to the fact that the dowels on the ends of some of the pieces were too large or not sanded down enough to comfortably fit into the holes of the compatible pieces. If this were my first time assembling these, I might have thought I had done something wrong, but no matter how many times I took them a part and started over the one chair must have been slightly defective, because we could not make it fit properly. My husband ended up sanding down the dowels that were too large and we were able to make it work, but it was definitely a hassle. Once we got the chair properly assembled, it works great and is very comfortable. 4 stars due to the defect.

Searched all the internet sources, and I mean ALL the internet sources, because I wanted 6 chairs and was determined to find the best priced, sturdiest chair. I did. These are unfinished and partially assembled, but using power drills and patience, I had all 6 together in less than 3 hours (by myself). Note: driving the screws into the dowels is tricky, but not impossible. I will stain and seal them since they will be left to the elements of a Michigan summer. These chairs are not as big as the costly models, having a slightly narrower, shallower seat, but will still hold my husband and sons comfortably. The legs are thick and much nicer wood than I expected. Reading the directions and literature helped me understand assembly and that natural flaws in the cedar are common, so I will sand a couple rough spots and plan on using these Adirondack chairs for years to come.

All in all it is very comfortable, sturdy and doesn’t look like something you’d pick up for $29.95 at one of the big box stores. It went together pretty well, but you’d better have a cordless screwdriver or you’ll be wishing you did. As promised, some of the cedar pieces had splits in them. They say right out of the box that splits are to be expected, but I would have given it 5 stars if they could have managed to produce it w/o those splits.

Chairs are sturdy and very comfortable. The only thing I was a bit disappointed about was the fact that they do not appear to be sealed, but we will take care of that ourselves. All in all a good product.

Took to stain beautifully. Stained it befor assembling. Beware the long screws that require a 3/8 inch wrench. Power tools can strip them. Otherwise we are all good. There has been a 50% price increase since I bought mine within the last 2 months, go figure?

solid chairs…I bought 4 chairs but one had a broken slat on the back. I called Lakeland Mills and they were very helpful. I had a new complete chair back in 2 days. Very impressed with the service!
