Product Description
Our metered RV pedestals are UL listed as RV supply equipment and perfect for any RV park or Campground. Tried and tested, our pedestals are currently providing power for RVers in private/state parks, national parks, county and fairgrounds from coast to coat. Each Pedestal is equipped with a factory wired socket rated to 100 continuous amps. These pedestals are manufactured using 16 – Gauge steel and NEMA 3R construction, both which resist corrosion, fading and provides lasting service. Units are available in either pad mount or direct bury pedestals and fit all standard round watt hour meters.

I have property with two RV spots and decided to add a third. This panel has it all. Well built with easy wiring. Much nicer than the other two RV panels I have (there when I bought the place). Mounted it on an old railroad tie my neighbor had. 32 foot run to main panel. Used 6 gauge wire in 2 inch conduit.

Very disappointed. This arrived without damage to the box, but showed very poor workmanship. I had to unscrew the cover and bend the tabs just to get the cover to open. The 14-50R receptacle was completely broken. I had to replace it. The lid does not close with a 50 amp power cord connected. I should have just bought something from Home Depot. This is junk.

Had to cut the handle off the RV cord to close the door, same problem with EVERY 50 amp box with breakers. This box is what all RV pads need but with a modified door that allows cords with handles.

Used this Panel for a 50 amp RV service. Panel seemed a bit light duty for #6 wire. Ground bar does not have a lug to accept any wire larger than #8 wire for connecting a grounding electrode, had to improvise.

The left side of the box was damaged when it arrived. The corner was bent in, and the cover has a “kink”. I will keep it, because of the hassle involved with returning it, and I want to get the job done, but I am disappointed.

OK… So there is no CSA. Only UL. I am a USA citizen with a RV/cottage in Canada. This is the 3rd Midwest panel I have purchased. You cannot beat it for design/function and value (Cheaper in USA of course, but still). If you are going to have to pass an official inspection requiring CSA then I guess you need to make another choice. I did not.

Local electrician was impressed with the panel. We ran 60amp service to my shed and mounted the panel, it was very easy to mount. He changed the 50amp breaker to a 10amp for my lathe (it’s only 2000 watts but 240v) and put in a dual 15 amp breaker (one half for my lights and the other half for all the outlets in my shed). Those split breakers are great, if you filled the whole left side with them you could have eight 15amp circuits! Nice.The only complaint from the electrician is that the incoming service was tricky to run into it. He tried it on the bottom left side/hole but the NEMA 14-50 Outlet is super deep so couldn’t fit the bottom outlet panel back on. Similar with the center hole but after running it through the bottom right hole it fit perfectly (because the 20amp 120v outlet is pretty shallow). The three 4 gauge cables barely fit up the right side of the breakers, so if you had heavier cables it might be tricky to run it like this.Works great, very nice performance.

I bought two of these. One arrived in perfect condition but the second unit arrived with a cover (the only part you see once mounted) looking like a 2nd grader with a meth problem that spray paints (quite poorly) street art on the side, painted it. It’s literally awful. I cannot install this for a customer! Very very disappointing – especially at this price!

Panel seems good quality but 50 amp breaker was bad. It put out 7 volts if I could get it to stay closed. it keeps tripping. Too late to return. I guess I’ll be buying a new breaker.

Although designed to be installed outdoors in an RV park to connect up RVs, I used it in my garage to power a three welders (50A, 30A and 20A). I needed to switch the receptacles to match the welder plugs (about $6 each at HD) and add a single phase 220V 20-amp breaker, but reconnecting everything was easy and it works great.

This would be a 5 star rating if the friggin thing had a CSA stamp, but it doesn’t! My electrician had to overrule his apprentice to install this thing (the apprentice said it didn’t meet code). Then we had a hair raising inspection where the electrician had to basically beg the inspector to pass it without the stamp.Feel like if the electrician didn’t have a few favours to call upon this wouldn’t have passed inspection and I would have been on the hook for the install, disassembly and reinstall of a certified product.They shouldn’t sell this in Canada! Avoid if you need inspections or if you ever plan on selling your house or want fire insurance.
