This is a phenomenal product.I used NMD90 #6 AWGI ran plastic conduit using a 90 degree with a removable cap for running the wire.I removed the sheath so as to install wires one at a time.I took all 4 screws ( from outside of box) that hold both pluge.I hooked up a Juice box 220V charger to it.this product is very well made and a great deal to boot!!!box hold

great little box. very sturdy well built. great door mechanism.there is a nice little hole in the bottom of the box to allow cords to be plugged in while the door is closed. however, the door will not close if youre using a regular 120 v male cord/plug. it might fit with a low profile right angle head.have not tried to close door with the 220v cord. might update this review if i ever think about it again…. or amazon gives some incentive to reviewers ;) ;)

Quality RV plug complete with breakers, easy to wire from 60 amp main breaker (requires 4 wires), we have it at one of our seasonal camp spots plus I will repalce the 50 amp at our home storage so I have the breakers at the plug RV panel.

Very high quality product but a little smaller than I expected. I am not able to close the door when my RV is plugged in which I don’t really like. Overall a sturdy product and well built for my needs. Like previous reviews, wish it had an entry on the bottom like the one on the top so you weather tight it from the bottom.

Nice product, but snug inside when you need to connect it. To pull the main wires through the bottom access hole you need to unscrew at least one of the outlets inside the box, then be a little creative to route big wire. We got it done, but it’s snug.

Well constructed. Door closes and then lifts to remain watertight. Breakers are marked Siemens. Only the 20A are GFCI. Space between my 50A plug (Emotorwerks Juicebox40 nd the closed lid was tight. The door will close with plug instaled, but it is a squeeze. I’d buy again.

Nice electrical box, but does not have enough clearance for a 50 amp plug. I did not think about how tight the lid would fit. Our RV has a small handle built on the back of the plug for pulling it out. It sticks out way to far to close the lid. There might be about 2inches between the plugin and the lid. A really flat plug may work, like on a dryer. The construction quality is good, it just should of had more room in it. Unfortunately I had this completely installed before I checked it. I would probably work if you used a 30amp 90degree dongle, or if your plug is very flat. I wound up using a torch to cut a square hole where the back of my plug would stick out. The lid can be left open or removed, but then the sockets and breaker would be exposed to the weather. Cutting a hole in it, was below the breaker and still works ok, its just really ugly now.

Solid design but looks like it was hastily assembled. The breakers were not fully plugged in and the cover plate was forced closed. Had to do some extra work but no apparent damage so ok. Would like to see Connecticut step up their quality control. Would still recommend for purchase.

I really liked this pre-built subpanel. I think I might have even saved money over putting one together for myself.The box is well built and the lower cord-hole means I can plug in my 12V driveway lights while keeping the cover closed.I replaced the 240 receptacle with a 6-50R for welding. Works great ! ! !

Works great as long as you do not have pull handle on back of cord as the door will not be able to close. I had to buy an extension cord with a flat back in order to close the cover.

We installed the box and have had no issues, if your male plug on your power cord has a handle the lid is not going to close, but if you don’t have a handk type plug everything is good to go

Purchased this to supply power to my 5th wheel trailer. It needed 50amp service. This provided the needed connection. Was nice to have it pre-wired along with breakers and a GFCI protected 20amp 120v outlet. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the unit is not very deep. When I plug in the power cord from my 5th wheel I almost cannot close the cover. I had to trim off the grip molded onto the back of the plug to help with pulling it out. If I had left it on I would not have been able to close the door at all.

A wonderful little box. A great value for future-proofing your electric car setup, and getting safety and convenience at the same time. The expense thing will be the electrican, so buying a cheaper box (like the 30Amp, unswitched ones available for $30) isn’t really a “savings” if you later find out you needed any of the features this box offers:- Breakers: added safety and convenience vs going to your main panel- 120V/20A “bonus” outlet, great for power tools (or a vacuum) you might use to service your car- 50A 14-50 outlet. Most of today’s cars use only 30A, but in 5 or 10 years 40A may be standard.If you are installing this for an Electric Car, upgrade to this box instead of just doing the $30/30A standard box

Very sturdy, good quality, one of a kind where you can have a breaker with Mema 14-50 in one panel with a bonus 110v receptacle / breaker. I have installed this for Tesla. The only issue I had with this panel is that door remains open when the Tesla charger is plugged in as Tesla plug is a high profile one, not necessary the problem with this panel. I love the panel otherwise . There is no comparison in the market for this panel that I could find. Good luck

High quality power box with outlets and breakers. Has one 50 amp double pole breaker and one single pole 20 amp breaker. I replaced the NEMA 14-50R RV outlet with a 6-50R. Installed this box in my garage for 240v / 50 amp service for my welder. Works great. Box is heavy duty. Nothing cheesy about this product. Would hold up well outdoors and forever in a garage.

Fact: You have to take it apart to connect the feed cables and make up the conduit into it.Con. 1. The wires from the plugs (50 and 20a) to the Neutral and Ground Lug are barely long enough.2. L1, L2, N lugs will accept #2/0 but ground is only #6. The maximum male adapter size is 1-1/2″ – max conduit 1-1/2″.3. The door won’t close over a standard 50A cord plug.Maybe 4. In many areas, the 20A GFCI has to be WR, this plug is not and you will have to change it out.Pro. The brackets holding outlets are held by screws, not rivets like some.

This is a great box with the money, especially considering the build construction quality, that it includes the breakers, it’s rated at 50 amps (most others I looked at were rated at 40), and that it has the extra 20 amp breaker. I am using this for my EVSE, and based on some other feedback was worried the plug would not fit with the door closed. Not an issue – it fits perfectly!

The box arrived much faster than promised. The Connecticut box is a very well-built box with plenty of room for the plugs with the door closed. This will be our connection in front of the house for the Hybrid charger and for a motorhome connection. Proud to have the looks of this box out front.
